Our goal at 529Ratings.com is to make performance data spanning many State's Plans and Funds available for easy comparison. We hope that this will help parents make more informed decisions on where and how to invest for their child's education. A more informed consumer will also promote healthy competition among the plans, hopefully leading to lower fees and improved results.
We have been able to gather performance data for over 1,300 nationally and state available funds. Both Age-Based and Fixed funds are included. Where possible, the funds have been associated by key categories (Bond, Index, International, Aggressive, Moderate, Conservative, and Ultra-Conservative) to allow for easier comparison.
Its always important to remember that past results may not be indicative of future performance.
Age-Based funds can be compared by selecting funds targeted to a child's current age. Or non-Age based funds can be selected to compare more self-directed options.
Additionally, we have included select links to other college savings information that we have found useful.
Finally, in the future, we will have a state-by-state overview of resident-only plans and how they may compare to these non-resident plans
